Job summary

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) invites applications for an Application & Reporting Analyst to support Student Engagement. You will help deliver digital services and enable data‑informed decisions, configure UniHub, and contribute to the reporting environment using Microsoft Fabric.

This role reports to the Senior Analyst, Student Engagement Applications, and partners with the Business Data Analyst. We offer a hybrid working arrangement at Gardens Point, Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and supporting digital services, including design, configuration, testing, implementation, and evaluation of systems and processes.
• Proven experience administering and maintaining enterprise applications and reporting platforms, including troubleshooting and collaboration with internal and external providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and propose solutions.
• Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools, particularly Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse clients and teams.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.

• Term: Fixed term, full-time basis until 31 December 2027.
• Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
• Open to: Applicants who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Application & Reporting Analyst to join Student Engagement, Administrative Division.

The Application and Reporting Analyst supports the delivery of digital services and data-informed decision-making across Student Engagement. This role combines application support and reporting responsibilities, ensuring systems are optimally configured and data is effectively leveraged to enhance service delivery and student experience. Working under the guidance of the Senior Analyst and in partnership with the Business Data Analyst, this role provides application support for UniHub and contributes to the reporting environment (e.g. Microsoft Fabric) by translating business needs into system configurations and operational insights. This position reports to the Senior Analyst, Student Engagement Applications for career planning, development, and performance expectations.

What You Need To Succeed

• Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting digital services, including the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and evaluation of systems and processes to improve service delivery.
• Proven experience in administering and maintaining enterprise applications and reporting platforms, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and collaboration with internal and external providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, diagnose issues, and propose solutions using sound professional judgement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in reporting and analytics tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, DAX, and SQL, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
• Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse clients and teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
