Job summary

SKF Lubrication Australia is seeking an Application Engineer (Field Based) to contribute to profitable growth across SKF products and services. You will promote offerings, manage orders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive campaigns and support sales opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in lubrication/fluid power, a mechanical engineering background, CRM experience, and strong Office 365 skills to support project management and customer engagement across OEMs and end

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years lubrication/fluid power systems product experience.
• CRM experience is required.
• Familiarity with design & maintenance of industrial rotating equipment applications.
• Experience with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, TEAMS).

Responsibilities

• Promote new and existing products and services through all channels.
• Manage and close customer orders and enquiries for technical and engineering services.
• Collaborate with local, national and international teams to develop and support marketing campaigns.
• Provide hands-on engineering, design, project management and technical engagement for sales opportunities and service activities.
• Provide technical and commercial support for SKF products and services to end users, distributors and OEMs to achieve sales/GP targets.
• Establish project schedules, budgets and cost-savings presentations for relevant activities and obtain customer sign-off.
• Update and maintain the CRM database with customer details and interactions.
• Log all customer interactions (emails, calls, visits, trainings) in the CRM ticket system to comply with SKF Qd manual.

The Opportunity

SKF Lubrication Australia is seeking an Application Engineer ( Field Based) who will be instrumental in contributing to the profitable growth of the total SKF business products and services.

The main duties will include but are not limited to:

• Promote new and existing products & services through all channels
• Manage and close customer orders and enquiries for technical and engineering services in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate / liaise with local and national and international teams (marketing, research, manufacturing) to develop and support marketing campaigns, for existing and new products
• Provide hands-on engineering, design, project management and in-depth technical engagement for product sales opportunities and the associated Service activities as required.
• Provide technical and commercial support for all approved SKF products and services, assisting all channels to market (End User, Distribution, OEM) to achieve or exceed sales/GP targets.
• Establish project schedule, budgets and cost-savings presentations for all relevant activities and ensure sign-off by customer stakeholders.
• Update and maintain the CRM database with the details of existing and potential customers,
• Use the Application Engineer Ticket system in CRM to register every customer interaction (emails, calls, visits, trainings, etc.) to comply with SKF Qd manual

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5-10 years Lubrication/Fluid Power systems product experience
• Trade qualification (Fitter/Turner or similar) and/or experience in a mechanical maintenance environment are desirable, but not essential.
• Familiarity with design & maintenance of industrial rotating equipment applications within OEM and end user markets,
• Experience with Customer Relations Management Systems (CRM)
• Advanced Office 365 skills (Apps including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint SharePoint, TEAMS, OneDrive, Planner, Power Automate and Power BI).
