Job summary

Viable Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an Appian Developer/Senior Developer/Solution Designer to design, build, and optimize Appian applications across interfaces, rules, integrations, Records, Sites, Reports and process models in Sydney or Melbourne.

You will collaborate with business analysts, translate requirements into technical solutions, and apply best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Proven Appian development experience, with strong design and coding skills.
• Experience with Appian components: SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Sites.
• Experience with Appian Plug-ins, Appian RPA, and Appian Connected Systems.
• Proficiency in Java, SQL, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Appian Level 2 Certification or higher is preferred.
• Experience with performance tuning and debugging is a plus.

Responsibilities

Implement Appian best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Integrate Appian with external systems using Web APIs, RDBMS, REST/SOAP APIs and third-party services.

Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of Appian applications.

Document technical designs and provide support during UAT and production.

Ensure performance tuning, scalability, and best practices across Appian applications.

About you

Min. 5 years of experience for Developers and min. 8 years of experience for Sr. Developers in Appian development.

Strong knowledge of Appian components: SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Sites.

Experience with Appian Plug-ins, Appian RPA, and Appian Connected Systems.

Proficiency in Java, SQL, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred: Appian Level 2 Certification or higher.

Preferred: Experience with performance tuning and debugging.

Preferred: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or DevOps tools.

Optional: Experience with Appian Cloud Administration and Appian RPA.
