Job summary

Calleo is seeking an API Systems Analyst to work with a Federal Government Agency in Canberra, focusing on API integration, data mapping, and legacy system modernization. The role involves updating complex legacy web UI systems and translating legislative reforms into practical API and data requirements.

Experience with PRISMS integration and delivering secure, interface-driven solutions within a government context is preferred. An AGSVANV1 security clearance would be advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess the PRISMS legacy system environment against agency integration requirements, analysing system functions, business rules, data flows, APIs, interfaces and dependencies to identify gaps, constraints, risks, impacts and required changes.
• Develop and maintain API and integration specifications, including interface
• Elicit, analyse, validate and document legislative, policy, business, system, data, interface and non-functional requirements across multiple Agencies and technical delivery teams
• Translate legislative and policy reforms into implementable system, API, data and integration requirements, ensuring requirements are clear, traceable, testable and aligned with business outcomes.

API Systems Analyst

About the company

The role will be working with a Federal Government Agency in Canberra responsible for providing strategic direction and national leadership of Australia’s education system.

About the role

We are seekingan experienced Systems Analyst with API specialisation and demonstrated experience updating complex legacy web UI systems, developing and interpreting API and integration specifications, and supporting integration between government systems.

Prior knowledge of the Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS) is desirable. The role will support PRISMS integration with other Agencysystems and contribute to the delivery of legislative and policy-driven system changes.

Duties

• Develop and maintain API and integration specifications, including interface

Skills & experience

• Demonstrated experience interpreting, developing and maintaining API andintegration specifications, including data mapping, validation, error handling, security and interface requirements.
• Demonstrated experience as an API Systems Analyst supporting the enhancement or modernisation of complex legacy systems.
• Demonstrated experience supporting PRISMS integration within a Government environment.
