Job summary

Platinum Pacific Partners is seeking a Director of Asia-Pacific Operations for a Sydney-based trading business serving asset managers and institutional clients. You will oversee operations across the region, working with senior stakeholders locally and overseas in a boutique, collaborative environment.

This broad remit covers trading operations, client onboarding, business development and technology support, with autonomy and variety in a non-siloed culture.

Qualifications

• Solid APAC trade operations or middle office experience in trading or buy-side environments.
• Strong working knowledge of equities trading, post-trade matching, broker setups and FIX connectivity.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients, brokers and traders, not just behind the scenes.
• Exposure to APAC market regulation as it relates to settlement and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily equities trade flow from client allocations to FX execution and settlements.
• Act as a key point of contact for brokers on operational issues and regulatory risk.
• Manage client queries related to trading activity, settlements, commissions, and CSAs.
• Support business development, including prospect meetings and RFx responses.
