Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a capable Operations professional in Sydney to support Trade Support, Middle Office, Settlements, and Reconciliations within the APAC region. The role involves engaging with internal teams and external clients to ensure accurate processing and control compliance.

The successful candidate will contribute to governance processes, assist in driving efficiency, and adapt to seasonally adjusted coverage with late shifts in Sydney summers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of capital markets, brokerage operations, and APAC market fundamentals.
• Ability to analyze information and resolve problems in straightforward situations.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and risk controls within operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform capital markets operations activities including trade support, settlement, reconciliation, and account maintenance in line with guidelines.
• Support APAC domicile client base and inbound APAC execution from global clients; coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, controls, or documentation to enhance efficiency and risk management.
