Job Description

ABOUT ORTHOPAEDICS
Fuelled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we're developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalised treatments. Are you passionate about improving and expanding the possibilities of Orthopaedic surgeries? Ready to join a team that's reimagining how we heal? Our Orthopaedics Teams help keep more than 6 million people moving each year while delivering clinical and economic value to surgeons and healthcare systems. Our teams build solutions for joint reconstruction; trauma and craniomaxillofacial; sports, extremities, and elective foot and ankle; spine; and robotics and digital surgery.

Your unique talents will help patients on their journey to wellness. Learn more at OPPORTUNITY.

Reporting to the TA Manager, APAC, this is a stand‑alone Talent Acquisition role supporting the DePuy Synthes business, with ownership of recruitment across Australia and New Zealand. As the lead TA partner for the business, you'll manage a broad portfolio of roles across multiple functions, with a particular focus on Commercial and Supply Chain. You'll work closely with senior leaders and HR stakeholders as a trusted talent advisor, taking ownership of complex hiring needs, building proactive talent pipelines and helping the business navigate challenging talent markets.

This is more than an end‑to‑end recruitment role. We're looking for someone who enjoys operating with autonomy, can problem‑solve and isn't afraid to challenge the way things have always been done. You'll bring ideas, market insights and a strong understanding of talent to help shape recruitment strategies and deliver great outcomes for the business and our candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead end‑to‑end recruitment across a broad portfolio of roles.
  • Partner closely with senior business and HR stakeholders, providing trusted advice on recruitment strategy, talent availability, market conditions and selection approaches.
  • Develop tailored sourcing and attraction strategies for complex and business‑critical roles.
  • Build and actively manage talent pipelines to support current hiring requirements and future workforce needs.
  • Use talent intelligence, recruiting data and market insights to identify challenges, influence decisions and recommend solutions.
  • Take ownership of recruitment challenges, working autonomously to identify solutions and keep hiring moving.
  • Constructively challenge the status quo and bring new ideas that improve how we attract, engage and hire talent.
  • Translate market dynamics, candidate insights and business needs into a clear talent story for hiring managers and HR partners.
  • Use recruitment technology, digital tools and AI‑enabled solutions to work smarter, improve processes and enhance the hiring manager and candidate experience.
  • Deliver an engaging, inclusive and high‑quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Collaborate across Talent Acquisition, HR and the broader business to solve problems, share talent insights and deliver against business priorities.
ABOUT YOU

You'll be an experienced recruiter who is comfortable taking the lead, working with senior stakeholders and managing recruitment with a high degree of independence.

We're looking for someone with:
  • Strong experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment within a complex organisation, ideally across Commercial, Sales and/or Supply Chain portfolios.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders and the confidence to advise, influence and constructively challenge.
  • Strong sourcing capability and experience developing and managing proactive talent pipelines, rather than relying solely on active applicants.
  • A solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to work through ambiguity, identify problems and take ownership of the solution.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand the broader business context behind a hiring need.
  • Confidence using recruitment data, market insights and talent intelligence to influence hiring strategies and decisions.
  • A curious and improvement‑focused approach. You'll naturally look for opportunities to do things differently and bring new ideas to the team.
  • Strong capability with recruitment technology and digital tools, with an interest in using AI and emerging technology to improve how we work.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong candidate and hiring manager experience.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL
  • You won't wait to be told what to do. You'll be comfortable taking ownership, asking the right questions and working out the best way forward.
  • You'll build credibility with senior leaders, understand what is happening in the external talent market and be confident using that knowledge to challenge thinking and influence decisions.
  • Most importantly, you'll bring energy, curiosity and ideas to the team and genuinely look for ways to make our recruitment approach better.
COMPANY CULTURE
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • Continuous training and support.
  • Award‑winning leadership development programs.
  • Inclusive, flexible, and accessible working arrangements.
  • Equal opportunity employer supporting diversity and inclusion.
WHY CHOOSE US
  • Competitive remuneration package and continuous training.
  • Supportive environment with award‑winning leadership development programs.
  • Inclusive, flexible, and accessible working arrangements for all.
OUR BENEFITS
  • Up to 18 weeks of parental leave to support new parents.
  • 4 days of volunteer leave to give back to the community.
  • Option to purchase up to 2 weeks of additional annual leave for extra time off.
  • Enjoy a dedicated Wellbeing Day to prioritise self‑care.
  • Global Wellness Reimbursement of $780 per year for healthy eating, exercise, or mindfulness activities.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program for personal and professional support.
  • Enhanced leave provisions for compassionate (caregiver) leave, providing up to 30 days of additional support.
  • Life insurance coverage for added peace of mind.
  • And much more.

Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company. The planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to satisfaction of legal and regulatory requirements, and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of the standalone orthopaedics company and your employment would be governed by the standalone orthopaedics company's employment processes, programs, policies and benefit plans.
