Job summary

Remote is seeking a Manager, Payroll Operations to own and orchestrate the payroll function across APAC and beyond. You will lead the Payroll Operations team, ensuring on-time, accurate, and compliant payroll processing while partnering with internal stakeholders and external providers.

The role requires extensive experience in Australia/New Zealand payroll, a strong grasp of global payroll practices, and leadership capabilities to scale our international operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in regional/global payroll operations, especially Australia/NZ.
• Understanding of global payroll best practices.
• Experience implementing payroll in multiple countries and managing relationships with payroll providers.
• Proven ability to manage people without micromanagement.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Payroll Operations team and mentor team members.
• Own the complete payroll function ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing.
• Serve as liaison between internal and external stakeholders on payroll matters.
• Stay up-to-date with international payroll laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement payroll best practices, KPIs and SLAs.
