Job summary

S&P Global Energy seeks an Associate Director, Customer Success to lead a six-person APAC team and drive adoption of upstream oil and gas solutions across Oceania. You will partner with commercial teams, manage escalations, and use CRM/Gainsight insights to improve outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, presentation skills, and travel within APAC, with a focus on delivering measurable value and reducing churn for strategic customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Economics, or related discipline.
• Experience in oil and gas with an operator or service company.
• Experience managing and coaching teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff and customers.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to deliver product demos.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of six Customer Success Managers across APAC.
• Drive business growth and customer retention in Oceania by building trusted relationships and driving adoption of upstream energy solutions.
• Partner strategically with commercial teams to align on regional initiatives and identify upsell opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer reviews, health assessments, and training to mitigate churn and demonstrate value.
• Leverage data from CRM and CS platforms to optimize team performance and outcomes.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams for product and service delivery.
