Northern Trust is seeking a professional to join the Sydney team, supporting capital markets operations across trade support, settlement, and reconciliation. The role involves APAC client engagement and collaboration with global teams to ensure accurate and timely trade lifecycle processing.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in capital markets or brokerage operations, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years in capital markets, brokerage operations, trade support, or related environment.
• Experience in trade support, settlement, reconciliation, or related operations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of APAC market drivers for Equity and Fixed Income is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform capital markets operations across trade support, settlement, reconciliation, and related processes.
• Support APAC domicile client base and inbound APAC execution for global clients.
• Monitor processing timelines and coordinate with peers to deliver timely trade lifecycle work.
• Identify and escalate complex issues; contribute to process improvement opportunities.
