Job summary

Mission Australia is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead Djindigal Residential Rehabilitation and Aftercare Services near Mareeba, Far North Queensland. You will oversee a 24/7 residential service and a community aftercare program, guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, recovery‑oriented support to people experiencing substance use challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing teams in health, community services or complex human services environments.
• Experience supporting people with substance use challenges in AOD services.
• Ability to provide practice supervision and coaching to frontline staff.
• Experience with budgeting, reporting, and funding outcomes.
• Current driver’s licence and First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Djindigal Residential Rehabilitation and Aftercare Services, ensuring safe, high‑quality and recovery‑focused support.
• Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to a multidisciplinary team.
• Oversee 24/7 residential service delivery and ensure positive client outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with funding, quality standards and reporting.
• Build relationships with health providers, government agencies and community organisations.
• Manage program budgets, resources and priorities to support service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and culturally safe recovery‑oriented practice.
