Gateway Health in Wodonga is seeking a part-time AOD practitioner to deliver assessment, counselling and care across the recovery streams. The role includes weekly travel to Towong and Alpine Shires and works within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The position runs 45.6 hours per fortnight until 30/06/2027, with options for flexible hours, a laptop and mobile, and professional development support.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, Community Welfare Work or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the AOD sector.
• Forensic AOD accreditation (as required by DHS, Victoria), or the eligibility/willingness to obtain same.
• Demonstrated experience in a range of assessments, counselling and support approaches.

Responsabilités

• Deliver a flexible, responsive AOD service across assessment, counselling and care and recovery streams as required.
• Collaborate with the AOD team to provide a coordinated service that responds to demand and achieves the best client outcomes.
• Travel weekly to rural communities across Towong and Alpine Shires to deliver counselling and case management services.
