Job summary

Odyssey House NSW – Campbelltown NSW is seeking an AOD and MH Worker to join the Medicare Mental Health Centre team. This full-time role involves providing specialised treatment and support services to MMHC clients, including counselling, case management and group sessions.

The post requires engagement with a multi-agency environment, dedicated to assessment, care coordination and high-quality psychosocial support.

Qualifications

• Significant experience supporting persons with alcohol and other drugs support needs.
• Significant experience supporting persons with mental health support needs and/or co-existing support needs.
• Experience in one-to-one support for people with AOD and Mental Health needs.
• Group facilitation and group program delivery experience.
• Ability to work in a team to deliver coordinated support.
• Experience in brief and comprehensive assessment and ongoing needs assessment.
• Experience in non-government AOD treatment programs.
• Competence in report writing and CMS documentation.
• Understanding of Privacy Act principles and practical implementation.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment, harm minimisation, care coordination and support strategies.
• Commitment to WHS, EEO and continuous Quality Improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling, case management and psychosocial supports to MMHC clients.
• Deliver group facilitation and group program activities.
• Maintain client records and CMS documentation with accuracy.
• Collaborate with multi-agency teams to coordinate care.
• Undertake assessments and ongoing review of client needs.
