Job summary

Western NSW Local Health District is recruiting a Drug & Alcohol Clinician to join the psychosocial team in Dubbo. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based, person-centred care for individuals with alcohol and drug use issues.

You will conduct assessments, schedule counselling, develop treatment plans, write reports and liaise with GPs and other services, applying trauma-informed care and harm-minimisation throughout community and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering psychosocial drug and alcohol support.
• Ability to perform assessments, form treatment plans and write reports.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm minimisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, person-centred care for clients with alcohol and drug use.
• Complete assessments, schedule counselling, and develop care plans.
• Prepare reports, and coordinate with GPs and other services.
• Apply harm-minimisation principles across community and inpatient settings.
