Job summary

Tasmanian Department of Health is seeking an Alcohol and Other Drug Clinical Lead to join Alcohol and Drug Services - North (ADS). You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based ATOD treatment in line with best practice and professional standards.

This permanent full-time role offers involvement in clinical leadership, service coordination and professional development within a supportive health system in Tasmania.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to undertake a coordination/leadership role within a multidisciplinary community alcohol and other drugs service setting, including supervision and support to staff.
• Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice used in ATOD treatment and prevention, harm minimisation, interventions and prevention activities.
• Proven ability to contribute to quality and safety processes at the service level.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to clinical leadership and management of a multidisciplinary community ATOD service.
• Support the Team Leader by overseeing designated clinical processes including intake, crisis response, interim support and general team coordination.
