Job summary

BYD Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne's Mulgrave office seeks a Vehicle Homologation Engineer to support certification and regulatory compliance for Australian and New Zealand markets. Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Equivalent relevant automotive industry experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Manage Vehicle Type Approval applications, approval variations, new variants, and model updates.
Review technical reports, approval certificates, specifications, drawings, and supporting certification evidence.
Identify certification gaps and coordinate additional testing, documentation, or vehicle changes.
Ensure relevant approvals are completed before vehicle launch, registration, or customer delivery.
Interpret and apply Australian and NZ regulatory guidance (ADR, NZTA, AS/NZS, ANCAP, etc.).
