Job summary

IAG in Sydney seeks an Analytics Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines that feed trusted reporting and analytics across the business. You’ll turn complex source data into reliable data products and apply AI-assisted engineering practices to boost productivity and quality.

This is a hands-on, build-focused role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney). You’ll work with data teams, partner with engineers and stakeholders, and contribute to delivery planning in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• Proven experience building data pipelines and models in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL capability with BigQuery and dbt.
• Good understanding of data modelling and reporting/analytics consumption.
• Experience with CI/CD-enabled data engineering and production-grade pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and ML workflows to improve engineering outcomes.
• Clear communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for reporting and analytics.
• Develop and refine data models supporting reliable reporting across releases.
• Collaborate with Data teams to align data solutions with requirements and design.
• Review upstream data designs and assess impacts on downstream models.
• Partner with engineers and stakeholders to troubleshoot and evolve data structures.
• Contribute to delivery planning and program updates in a fast-moving environment.
