Job summary

Talent Connect Australia is seeking a Data Analytics Specialist in Sydney to transform data into actionable insights. You will work with Customer Service & Supply Chain teams to improve reporting, efficiency and decision-making.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines, dashboards, data quality checks and exploring AI-driven automation to optimise business processes. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract in a dynamic FMCG environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science or related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain data to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience writing and interpreting complex queries.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing and relational databases.
  • Experience developing dashboards or visual reporting solutions.
  • Interest in using AI and automation to improve processes.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with stakeholders across teams.

Job description

We are looking for a Data Analytics Specialist to join a highly regarded FMCG company in Sydney. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, technology and people, and wants to play a key role in improving the way a business uses information to make decisions.

In this role, you will work closely with the Customer Service & Supply Chain teams to transform data into practical insights that improve efficiency, reporting and decision-making.

The day-to-day:
  • Build and manage data pipelines and ETL processes across approved platforms
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Investigate data, identify trends and ensure information is accurate and reliable
  • Work with large and complex datasets, including data cleansing, transformation and organisation
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and processes using AI and other technology
  • Analyse financial, customer and logistics data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with teams across the business to understand their reporting and analytical requirements
  • Contribute to broader initiatives focused on improving demand, supply and customer outcomes
About you:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to explain data and insights to non-technical audiences
  • Strong experience in a similar role, including writing and interpreting complex queries
