Job summary

On Q Recruitment is seeking an Analytical Chemist for an innovative Australian medical technology company. The role spans analytical testing, method development, manufacturing support, quality control and product development across a fast-paced setting.

You will contribute to analytical development and characterisation across research, manufacturing and quality operations, working on tests, method transfers and data reporting.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline.
• Experience in regulated laboratory environments (GMP, pharma, biotech or medical device).
• Strong hands-on HPLC experience essential.
• Experience in analytical method development and/or quality control.
• Strong trouble-shooting and data interpretation skills.
• Exposure to NMR, ICP-MS, ICP-OES highly regarded.
• Collaborative across R&D, manufacturing support and quality activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, transfer and validate analytical methods to support product development and regulatory programmes.
• Perform analytical characterisation of polymers, magnetic nanoparticles and related materials.
• Conduct routine and non-routine testing to support R&D, manufacturing and batch release.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate and qualify laboratory instrumentation.
• Support GMP laboratory activities, SOP development and quality system compliance.
• Analyse data and prepare technical reports, certificates of analysis and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate testing with external laboratories and service providers.
• Contribute across multiple projects during clinical development to commercialisation and scale-up.
