Job summary

Ausbiz Consulting in Sydney seeks an experienced Analyst Programmer to lead end-to-end data warehousing implementations, enhancements and support for cloud-based solutions.

You will design, develop and optimize ETL processes, write complex SQL and relational queries, and mentor junior team members while collaborating with stakeholders across BI, data and analytics functions.

Experience with Redshift and Netezza, and with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Cognos, is highly valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or relevant field.
• Relevant work experience is desirable.
• Proficiency in Java, XML, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) is preferred.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus.

Job Summary:

Ausbiz Consulting is seeking an experienced and talented Analyst Programmer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation, enhancement, and support of data warehousing projects and applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform ETL transformation processes and write complex SQL's using different databases such as Redshift(AWS), Netezza
  
• Create interactive reports and dashboards using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, scorecards and cubes using Relational Models, DMR and OLAP
  
• End-to-end implementation, enhancement and migration & support of data warehousing projects
  
• Analyze system requirements and develop technical designs
  
• Design, code, test and install applications programs either in one major language or in a range of programs across multiple platforms
  
• Develop and maintain operating and system documentation
  
• Ensure systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieving necessary design and systems security standards
  
• Develop and maintain application software, cubes, data warehouses, databases, and cloud infrastructure
  
• Write, update and maintain technical program, end-user documentation, and operational procedures
  
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior team members
  

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or relevant field
  
• Relevant work experience is desired
  
• Skills in one or more of the major programming languages (either 'legacy' or 'hot') such as Java, XML, SQL, PL/SQL
  
• Knowledge of one of the major relational database packages such as Oracle, SQL Server
  
• Ability to work autonomously or in a team environment, directly dealing with customers and other stakeholders
  
• Analytical thinker with a positive and helpful attitude
  
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
  
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of the full SDLC. Experience in both Waterfall and Agile development project environments is highly desirable
  
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  
• Strong understanding of SOA, web services/REST, client server technology
