Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of JSON, XML, OpenAPI/Swagger and integration patterns.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Analyst Programmer to join our dynamic team at BSS INSIGHT PTY LTD' in Mount Waverley, VIC 3149. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in design, develop and support Java-based applications, APIs and enterprise integrations.

What you will do

Analyse business and system requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.

Consult with stakeholders to identify system issues, business needs and application enhancements.

Analyse existing applications, databases, APIs and integrations and recommend technical improvements.

Design, develop, modify and maintain enterprise applications using Java, databases, APIs and relevant development tools.

Develop application functionality, interfaces, integrations, reports and automated processes.

Perform unit, system, integration and regression testing and resolve software defects and programming errors.

Debug applications and implement solutions to improve performance, reliability and functionality.

Prepare and maintain technical, functional and application documentation.

Support application deployments, upgrades, configuration changes and production issues.

Participate in code reviews and apply programming, security and quality standards.

Provide technical support to users and technical teams and contribute to system enhancements and continuous improvement.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

7 years of professional experience in Java, Spring Boot and Apache Camel.

Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs, SOAP web services and enterprise integration solutions.

Sound knowledge of JSON, XML, XSLT, OpenAPI/Swagger and enterprise integration patterns.

Proven ability to analyse business and system requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, with experience improving application performance, reliability and integrations.

Experience with Kafka or other messaging and event-driven technologies, together with GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, Splunk and CI/CD practices.

Strong understanding of API security, production monitoring, technical documentation.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
