Job summary

The Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria is inviting applications for Ambulance Attendants and Paramedics to join the Patient Transport team. You will deliver high-quality care on-road, perform assessments, and support patients through non-emergency transport across Victoria.

Role offers structured training, career growth, and a supportive culture. Eligibility includes NEPT experience, valid licenses, and compliance with RFDS policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in NEPT sector desirable but not essential.
• Current Full Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and right to work in Australia.
• Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions.
• Occasional availability to pick up shifts across 7 days.
• ATA or equivalent ambulance officer qualification or nursing background required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road.
• Provide high quality patient care and treatment during transport.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and stakeholders.
• Assess intervention effectiveness per RFDS NEPT guidelines.
• Operate independently within approved policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure best outcomes.
• Maintain understanding of RFDS MPC policies and NEPT regulations.
