The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is recruiting for Ambulance Attendants and Paramedics to join the Horsham/Stawell team in Victoria. The role focuses on high-quality non-emergency patient transport with structured training, professional growth opportunities, and an inclusive culture.

Base rate is $34.82–$40.18/hr with additional benefits, salary packaging options, and opportunities across a trusted, nationwide NEPT network. Applicants must meet licensing and background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in NEPT sector is desirable but not essential.
• Current Driver Licence, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and right to work in Australia.
• Ability to drive in city and country traffic conditions.
• Availability to pick up shifts across 7 days when required.
• Must have or have worked as an ATA or equivalent.
• Diploma or Bachelor or other RFDS/DHHS-recognized qualification for Ambulance Officers.
• Evidence of 400 hours of clinical stretcher experience under supervision.
• For Registered Nurses: AHPRA registration and relevant hospital experience or 400 supervised hours.

Responsabilités

• Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road.
• Provide high quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders.
• Assess the effectiveness of interventions per RFDS MPC guidelines and NEPT regulations.
• Operate independently and solve problems within policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other team members.
• Maintain understanding of RFDS MPC policies and NEPT regulations to support best practice.

Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance)

Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic)

Equivalent qualification for Ambulance Officers
