Job summary

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, Victoria, is seeking motivated Ambulance Transport Attendants to join the Bairnsdale team in a full-time capacity. You will provide high-quality patient transport care and work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive environment, away from the pressures of emergency response work.

This role offers structured training, a defined scope of practice, and the chance to deliver compassionate care across diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Experience as Ambulance Transport Attendant or similar role.
• Diploma/Bachelor in paramedical field or equivalent recognised by RFDS or DHHS.
• Evidence of clinical placements and at least 400 hours of stretcher experience under supervision.
• RN applicants must have AHPRA registration and relevant hospital experience or documented clinical hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and clinical interventions during road transport.
• Deliver safe, compassionate care in line with RFDS guidelines and NEPT regulations.
• Monitor patients and evaluate responses en route.
• Work with a partner clinician in a team-based model.

Paramedical qualification
