Brightstar Resources is seeking an experienced Alternate Open Pit Manager to support its open pit mining operations in Western Australia. The role reports to the Open Pit Mine Manager, acting as 2IC and providing operational leadership, planning and statutory coverage.

Based on a 8:6 permanent full-time FIFO roster, this position requires strong Deswik experience, a relevant engineering degree, and a proven track record in hard rock open pit mining.

Formación

• Tertiary qualification in Mining or Civil Engineering.
• Proven Deswik experience in CAD/IS/scheduler.
• Ability to obtain WA WHS statutory certificates including SSE.
• Experience in drill and blast for hard rock open pit operations.

Responsabilidades

• Act as 2IC to the Open Pit Mine Manager during rostered periods.
• Lead the development and optimisation of short/medium-term mine plans using Deswik.
• Oversee day-to-day open pit activities including drill and blast, load/haul, stockpile and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental obligations and site procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity and cost efficiency.

We are the proud owner and operator of our FISH Gold Mine andthe expanded Sandstone district home to the region’s largestMineral Resource inventory, in the next 10 months we have a processplant build, launching open pits and expanding our undergroundoperations.

Brightstar Resources is seeking an experienced and drivenAlternate Open Pit Manager to support thesuccessful delivery of our open pit mining operations. Reporting tothe Open Pit Mine Manager, this key leadership role will act as the second-in-command, providing operational leadership, technicalexpertise, and statutory coverage while driving safe, efficientand productive mining outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong miningprofessional who enjoys balancing operational leadership with mineplanning and continuous improvement initiatives. This position isbased on a 8:6 permanent full time FIFO roster.

Key Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, CivilEngineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical capability in mine planning and design,with proven experience using Deswik (CAD, IS andScheduler).
• Ability to obtain and maintain statutory appointments underWA WHS legislation, including Quarry Manager's StatutoryCertificate and Site Senior Executive (SSE).
• Demonstrated experience within hard rock open pit miningoperations, including drill and blast exposure.
• Experience managing mining contractors and driving safety,productivity and operational performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as 2IC to the Open Pit Mine Manager, assuming fulloperational responsibility during rostered periods andsupporting strategic mine planning decisions.
• Lead the development and optimisation of short andmedium-term mine plans using Deswik to maximise production,cost efficiency and pit development.
• Oversee day-to-day open pit activities including drill andblast, load and haul operations, stockpile management andcontractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, safetysystems, environmental obligations and site procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused onproductivity, cost control, operational efficiency andtechnical optimisation.
