Job description

GO.FARM is an Australian-owned, high-conviction agricultural investor, developer and manager with a clear purpose: to transform Australian agriculture.

We identify underutilised and undercapitalised agricultural assets and reimagine them through land use change, investment in people, and adoption of climate-smart technologies. Our investment decisions and operations are underpinned by our Responsible Agriculture Framework, which guides our stewardship of natural capital, people and communities.

About the role:

This is not your ordinary Management Accountant role.

Working closely with Farm Managers and operational teams, you'll connect financial performance with on-farm decision-making, turning data into meaningful insights that influence operational outcomes, investment performance and long-term value creation.

As GO.FARM continues to invest in data and technology, you'll play an important role in evolving our reporting capability, using tools such as Power BI to help leaders better understand performance and make informed decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance against budget and forecast, providing clear, actionable insights.
  • Partner with Farm Managers to review results and facilitate monthly performance discussions.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful financial and operational insights.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities by analysing financial and operational data.
  • Support internal reporting and investor reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Support scenario modelling and business case analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and support treasury activities.
  • Assist with financial controls, governance and tax compliance.
  • Support year-end processes, including audit coordination.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance, Technology and operational teams to improve reporting, data quality and automation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting and business intelligence.
About you:

You're someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data and partnering with people to drive better business decisions. You take pride in producing high-quality work and are excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of Australian agriculture.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • CA or CPA qualified (or working towards).
  • 3+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar commercial finance role.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards or visualisations using Power BI(or a similar business intelligence platform).
  • The ability to interpret financial and operational data and communicate meaningful insights to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with accounting systems (Xero experience is highly regarded).
  • Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and using data to drive better decisions.
Why work for GO.FARM:

We're serious about building long-term careers in agriculture. You'll benefit from:

  • Real investment in your development, including 5% of your annual salary dedicated to learning
  • Flexibility through enhanced leave options, salary sacrifice opportunities, and competitive incentives
  • Wellbeing programs that support your financial, physical, and mental health
