Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT is seeking an Allied Health Coordinator to lead high-quality, evidence-based allied health services across our organisation. This role blends clinical expertise with leadership to improve lives of older people.

You’ll work with physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, Allied Health Assistants, care teams and service leaders to strengthen practice, support growth and develop innovative models across residential aged care, retirement living and community settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Experience leading or supporting physiotherapy services, ideally within aged care, rehabilitation or community settings.
• Experience delivering therapy across residential and/or community environments.
• Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, supervise and develop others.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• Genuine commitment to dignity, independence, wellness and quality of life for older people.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with care teams, residents, families and external providers.
• Contribute to falls prevention, independence, wellness and community education initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, learning, collaboration and respect.
