Job summary

Altius Group is seeking an Allied Health Assistant in Rehabilitation Services. The role supports consultants addressing physical, psychological, social, and organisational factors affecting return-to-work outcomes.

You will assist with rehab plan development, reporting, and maintaining worker records while liaising with medical and allied health professionals. Applicants should be currently enrolled OT students (3rd or 4th year), available at least 3 days per week, hold full Australian working

Qualifications

• Possible to work part-time while studying if arranged.
• Must be able to obtain Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to consultants on rehabilitation for workers returning to work.
• Assist in developing rehab needs and implementing plans for individual workers.

As an Allied Health Assistant in the Rehabilitation Services team at Altius Group, you will provide direct support to our consultants who address the critical physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors which may have an impact on a worker's ability to successfully return to work.

• Work alongside practitioner and workers who have sustained an injury or illness in the workforce
• Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the rehab needs of individual
• Supporting return to work planning for occ-rehab claims, certificates of capacity and approvals for services
• Assist with developing detailed written reports that support workers' goals and outcomes
• Maintain up-to-date information, data and documents for all workers'
• Collaborate and liaise with medical practitioners and allied health professionals

What You Need To Join Us

• Current 3rd or 4th year students (Occupational Therapy)
• Minimum 3-day availability per week
• Full Australian working rights
• Current driver's license and car
• Ability to obtain a Police and Working with Children Check
