Job summary

Altius Group is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to provide direct support to our rehabilitation team, aiding consultants in addressing physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational factors affecting return to work.

As a current Occupational Therapy student, you’ll work alongside practitioners, contribute to rehab plans, and help prepare detailed reports while maintaining up-to-date records and liaising with medical staff.

Qualifications

• Current 3rd or 4th year Occupational Therapy student.
• Availability for at least 3 days per week.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Current driver’s license and access to a car.
• Ability to obtain Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside practitioners and workers who have sustained an injury or illness.
• Contribute to development, implementation, monitoring and review of rehab needs.
• Support return-to-work planning for occ-rehab claims and approvals for services.
• Assist with written reports supporting workers’ goals and outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date information, data and documents for workers.
• Collaborate with medical practitioners and allied health professionals.

Requirements

YOUR NEW ROLE

As an Allied Health Assistant in the Rehabilitation Services team at Altius Group, you will provide direct support to our consultants who address the critical physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors which may have an impact on a worker's ability to successfully return to work.

• Work alongside practitioner and workers who have sustained an injury or illness in the workforce
• Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the rehab needs of individual
• Supporting return to work planning for occ-rehab claims, certificates of capacity and approvals for services
• Assist with developing detailed written reports that support workers' goals and outcomes
• Maintain up to date information, data and documents for all workers'
• Collaborate and liaise with medical practitioners and allied health professionals
