Job summary

Murrumbidgee Local Health District is seeking an Allied Health Assistant – Level 1-3 to support leisure and lifestyle programs and assist with activities under supervision within a multidisciplinary team. This permanent part-time role is based in the Batlow-Adelong area and offers pro rata remuneration, plus super and leave loading where applicable.

Applicants should have a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Allied Health Assistance (or commit to completing training within 3 years) and

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or commit to complete within 3 years)
• Demonstrate expert level written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Show initiative and strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a range of group and individual leisure and lifestyle programs
• Manage correspondence and documentation with deadlines within a multidisciplinary team
• Assist with activities under supervision of Allied Health Professionals (e.g., exercise classes, community outings)
• Facilitate and participate in diversional therapy activities
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and team
• Create individual lifestyle care plans for residents
