Job summary

Johnson Controls in Australia seeks an experienced HVAC Product Manager - Airside to shape product strategy across Australia and New Zealand, working with sales, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers to deliver plans, launches, and margin improvements.

This role focuses on market insight, technical understanding, and cross-functional execution to align the portfolio with customer needs and market demand, driving profitability and growth in a global organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
• 7+ years in HVAC product management, product marketing, or product/program management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC markets and equipment listed.
• Experience working with HVAC suppliers and understanding product specifications.
• Proven ability to analyse market data, competition, product performance, and pricing opportunities.
• Business management skills with strong technical awareness.
• Experience collaborating across sales, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and supplier networks.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product line strategies for the HVAC portfolio, particularly with Airside.
• Drive market expansion, profitability, and portfolio growth opportunities.
• Lead new product introductions, product launches, and cost-out initiatives.
• Conduct market research, analyse competition, and track customer/market trends.
• Build product roadmaps, monitor product performance, and present strategic updates.
• Support pricing strategy and margin optimisation across assigned products.
• Provide sales training, product positioning, and market support to commercial teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and external suppliers to deliver business objectives.
