Job summary

Oceania Ground Force is hiring for a frontline role in Mackay Regional to support safe and efficient aircraft operations. You will handle bagroom tasks, load and unload baggage, and manage receipt/dispatch procedures while operating essential ramp equipment.

We offer a base hourly rate of 28.03 AUD, 12% superannuation, shift penalties, uniform, comprehensive paid training including Cert III, and opportunities for internal promotions within a growing ground handling company.

Your role involves handling critical tasks such as bagroom operations, loading and unloading, operating specialised equipment, and ensuring the precise receipting and dispatching of aircraft. YOUR DUTIES

• Perform bagroom functions, including scanning and manual handling of luggage.
• Load and unload baggage and freight efficiently.
• Manage aircraft receipt and dispatch procedures.
• Execute aircraft pushback operations safely.
• Provide essential water and waste services.
• Operate ground service equipment on the ramp.

ESSENTIALS

• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
• A valid Driver’s License (including Provisional License).
• Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol, and Audio tests (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
• Capability of obtaining an ASIC card (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and Public Holidays (e.g., Christmas).
• Capacity to undertake shifts between 4-10 hours per day.
• Ability to work shifts spanning 04:30 - 00:00.
• Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight.
• Available for a 1-week full-time paid training.
