Job summary

Oceania Ground Force is seeking a Check-In Crew member in Mackay, Queensland. You will greet travelers, verify documents, assign seats, issue boarding passes, and assist with gate boarding and baggage handling to ensure smooth passenger journeys.

The role involves handling disruptions, keeping pages moving, and delivering friendly service in a fast-paced airport environment. Training, rotation rostering, and opportunities for advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol and Audio tests.
• Capacity to obtain an ASIC card after 6 months.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional customer experiences to airline travellers. As a Check-In Crew member, you will be responsible for greeting customers with a smile, ensuring travel documents meet requirements, assigning seats, preparing and issuing boarding passes, managing baggage, assisting with gate boarding, and handling passenger marshalling and disruption management. Your efforts will make a significant impact on travellers’ journeys.

ESSENTIALS

• Professional appearance and demeanour.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol, and Audio tests (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
• Capability of obtaining an ASIC card (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and Public Holidays (e.g., Christmas).
• Capacity to undertake shifts between 4-10 hours per day.
• Ability to work shifts spanning 05:00 - 23:0
• Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight.
• Availability for 2 weeks of full-time paid training.
