Textron Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Structures / Sheet Metal to join our Melbourne Service Centre at Essendon Fields. The AME Sheetmetal performs fabrication, modification, repair, and inspection of aircraft structures and sheet metal components in line with SRM and approved data.

Minimum 5 years' experience in aircraft structural maintenance, experience on business jet or general aviation aircraft preferred, and ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in aircraft structural maintenance and sheet metal repairs.
• Experience on business jet or general aviation aircraft preferred; Textron Aviation products a plus.
• Knowledge of Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) and approved maintenance data.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance documentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and sheet metal maintenance on Textron Aviation aircraft.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, SRM and maintenance instructions.
• Fabricate, form, modify, and install sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Remove and install rivets, fasteners, panels, and structural components.
• Drill, ream, countersink, dimple, deburr, and assemble structural parts.
• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, fatigue and wear.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment and support SMS requirements.
