Job summary

Airbus Richmond in NSW is seeking a seasoned Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice Mentor to lead and coach the next generation of aviation professionals. You will mentor apprentices and RAAF fitters, guiding them toward AME qualifications while maintaining hands-on leadership.

This full-time role offers a stable career with dedicated mentorship responsibilities and a 3-day weekend schedule due to Monday-Thursday work weeks.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: A Trade Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance, a Cert IV or Diploma in Aeroskills, or a DASR 66 / CASA Part 66 Licence.
• Expertise: A solid understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and safety practices.
• The Right Attitude: Patience, strong communication skills, and an eye for detail.

• Lead, supervise and mentor RAAF Fitters and Airbus apprentices toward AME qualifications.

What You Bring to the Hangar

We are looking for someone with a strong background in aircraft maintenance and a genuine desire to pass on their skills. To be successful, you will need:

• Qualifications: A Trade Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance, a Cert IV or Diploma in Aeroskills, or a DASR 66 / CASA Part 66 Licence.
• Expertise: A solid understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and safety practices.
• The Right Attitude: Patience, strong communication skills, and an eye for detail.

Note: Prior military experience, heavy maintenance experience, or specific C-130J knowledge is highly regarded, but not mandatory.
