Job summary

Aussie Home Services is hiring a qualified HVAC technician for a permanent full-time role in Sydney. You will assemble, install, service and repair industrial, commercial and domestic air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, reading technical drawings and following safety standards.

The role requires AQF Certificate III or higher, at least 1 year of relevant experience, good English skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time-management.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, service and repair industrial, commercial and domestic air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Read technical drawings and specifications and establish installation reference points.
• Drill holes, install mounting brackets, and cut, bend and thread piping.
• Connect pipes and equipment using bolting, soldering, riveting, welding and brazing techniques.
• Charge systems with gas or fluid and conduct pressure and leak tests.
• Test, operate and adjust refrigeration and air-conditioning systems for proper performance.
• Evacuate systems using vacuum pumps and recharge with refrigerant.
• Inspect, overhaul and diagnose faults in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
• Repair or replace defective components, adjust controls and reassemble systems after servicing.
• Record system faults, causes, repairs and corrective actions in accordance with safety requirements and applicable standards.
