Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a proactive Software Engineer to join the E7 Mission Systems Software team in Williamtown, NSW. You will develop and sustain operational software for the Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control platform, collaborating closely with customers to deliver capabilities that meet defence requirements.

You will work with Java or C++ in an OO development environment, applying Agile and LEAN10X methodologies, and contribute to safety, quality, and continuous

Qualifications

• Experience in Java or C++ for applications development.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Agile and LEAN10X practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop software enhancements and modifications from design to integration for airborne applications.
• Conduct whole-of-change engineering within scope, practices and standards.
• Undertake defect investigation and fix of software using high-fidelity labs and tooling.
• Perform informal integration and qualification testing of changes.
• Apply key generative practices around safety and quality.
