Job summary

ASM Chilltech, a BGIS company, is seeking an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance across client facilities in Cardiff, NSW.

You will install, test, and service heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems, work with building management systems, and document service reports. A trade qualification and 2+ years' experience are required; the role includes a company vehicle and opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (essential).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing service requirements.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Working knowledge of building management systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive HVAC maintenance across client facilities.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
• Conduct fault finding, repairs, and upgrades across HVAC equipment.
• Inspect and maintain chilled water systems and refrigeration equipment.
• Ensure ventilation equipment and controls operate efficiently and continuously.
• Inspect and maintain building management systems where required.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and system malfunctions.
• Complete service reports and work orders within required timeframes.
• Ensure all works comply with safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The Role
ASM Chilltech is seeking skilled Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians to join our growing service team, delivering high-quality mechanical maintenance, repairs, and servicing across client facilities. In this role, you will provide planned and reactive HVAC maintenance across a range of systems including heating, cooling, refrigeration, chilled water systems, and building management systems.
