IAG Defence & National Security in Canberra (preferred) or Perth is seeking an experienced AIC Officer to support Australian Industry Capability activities on a major Defence program. You will manage engagement, reporting and compliance under the AIC Manager, maintaining governance artefacts and stakeholder communications.

You will bring NV1 clearance and Defence program experience, with strong analytical and documentation skills to deliver accurate records and dashboards for Commonwealth

Qualifications

  • Current NV1 security clearance and Defence program experience.
  • Understanding of AIC policy and Defence procurement frameworks.
  • Ability to prepare structured reports and compliance artefacts.
  • Experience with governance artefacts, registers and engagement logs.
  • Navy/Maritime domain experience and involvement in major naval programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining AIC Plans and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct capability scans, SME research and market mapping.
  • Track AIC activities and deliverables, assisting with reports, dashboards and briefings.
  • Maintain governance artefacts, registers, engagement logs and compliance evidence.
  • Support stakeholder discussions and prepare meeting notes, action logs and follow-up items.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced AIC Officer to support the delivery of Australian Industry Capability activities on behalf of a major Defence program. This is a great opportunity for a Defence-experienced professional to play a hands-on role in industry engagement, reporting and compliance, working closely under the direction of the AIC Manager. You'll bring strong organisational discipline and a collaborative approach, helping maintain accurate records and reporting for Commonwealth stakeholders across a significant naval Defence program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and maintaining AIC Plans and supporting documentation
  • Conduct capability scans, SME research and market mapping, supporting engagement with SMEs and primes
  • Track AIC activities and deliverables, assisting with reports, dashboards and briefings
  • Maintain governance artefacts, registers, engagement logs and compliance evidence
  • Support stakeholder discussions and prepare meeting notes, action logs and follow-up items
Required
  • Current NV1 security clearance
  • Experience in Defence acquisition or sustainment programs
  • Understanding of AIC policy and Defence procurement frameworks
  • Experience in industry engagement or capability assessment
  • Ability to prepare structured reports and compliance artefacts, with strong written communication skills
  • Ability to analyse capability, commercial or technical information
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders, with strong organisation and governance discipline
  • Navy or Maritime domain experience, including prior involvement in major naval programs
  • Understanding of SME capability development or innovation pathways
  • Experience with AIC analytics or reporting dashboards
  • Knowledge of ASDEFCON frameworks and DID AIC requirements
  • Experience supporting workshops or capability demonstrations
  • Qualifications in engineering, commerce, project management or Defence studies
Salary

$200,000-212,800 total package
