Job summary

SA Health in North Adelaide is seeking an AI Officer to guide the development, governance and ethical use of AI technologies. The role partners across teams to integrate AI solutions that enhance efficiency and patient-centred care.

The position seeks a candidate with tertiary qualifications in CS/AI/Data Science/Engineering and experience in Digital Health or ML. It offers pathways to contribute to AI maturity and includes salary packaging benefits and relocation support on eligibility.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
Experience in Digital Health, machine learning, or data science roles.
Strong understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, and governance standards.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing AI strategies and policies.
Ability to plan, lead, implement, manage, and evaluate goals, objectives and strategies.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction on AI and to continue to grow WCHN’s AI maturity building capability and capacity.
Lead the execution of the organisation's AI strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
Contribute to the roadmap for AI implementation and prioritise projects based on value, feasibility, and resource availability.
Provide leadership in the maintenance of a robust AI governance framework.
Ensuring AI practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
