Ideal candidates have 2+ years in SOC/incident response, strong SIEM familiarity, and sharp written communication. Flexible 10–40 hours/week, independent, freelance work with top AI research teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role.
• Familiarity with SIEM, alert triage workflows, and threat investigation processes.
• Ability to distinguish genuine signals from noise and false positives.
• Detail-oriented with strong written communication.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently on asynchronous, task-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigations, and evaluate how AI systems respond to them.
• Classify severity levels, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions.
• Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real-world relevance.
• Validate AI outputs to ensure they reflect how experienced security analysts actually think and operate.
• Provide structured, expert feedback that helps frontier AI models reason through threats more effectively.
