Job summary

Advara HeartCare in North Sydney is seeking an AI Lead to bridge business, technology and AI initiatives. You will translate complex problems into practical AI solutions and drive end-to-end delivery, with governance and risk oversight.

The role focuses on leading AI transformation, scaling adoption across teams, and delivering measurable ROI. This 12-month contract is based in our North Sydney office with a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI or AI-enabled transformation initiatives in a business environment.
• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or related field.
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and cloud AI platforms; coding not required.
• Familiarity with AI ethics, risk frameworks and governance certifications.
• Ability to translate business problems into practical technology solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Delivery-focused with ownership mindset and ROI awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI transformation roadmap and align initiatives with business strategy and financial goals.
• Translate problems into practical AI solutions and drive cross-functional delivery.
• Provide technical oversight to engineering and data teams on AI solutions and data workflows.
• Establish safe-use guidelines, risk management and data privacy governance.
• Coordinate multiple AI initiatives from discovery to adoption.
• Drive workforce reskilling and ambassador networks for AI adoption.
• Collaborate across areas like customer service, forecasting, and automation.

We are currently have a 12 month fixed term opportunity for an AI Lead to join our team in our North Sydney office.

As our highly valued AI Lead, you’ll bridge the gap between business, technology and AI and make sure the right ideas actually get delivered. Taking agreed opportunities and turning them into real, deliverable initiatives across the business.

You’ll make a meaningful impact by:

• Take ownership the Advara HeartCare AI transformation roadmap, aligning AI initiatives with core business strategy and financial goals
• Translate business problems into practical AI solutions and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver them.
• Provide technical oversight to challenge and guide engineering and data teams around AI solutions, LLMs, data, document processing and implementation
• Establish safe-use guidelines, risk management frameworks, and compliance oversight for data privacy and regulations
• Coordinate multiple AI initiatives from discovery through to implementation and adoption
• Drive workforce reskilling, training programs, and ambassador networks to ensure high adoption rates and integrate AI into everyday workflows
• Work across areas such as customer service, forecasting, quote automation, email triage, and patient support
  

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Experience delivering AI or AI-enabled transformation initiatives in a business environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and modern AI/cloud platforms (such as Microsoft Azure or OpenAI)— direct software coding is not required.
• Familiarity with AI ethics, risk frameworks, and governance certifications
• The ability to translate business problems into practical technology solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong delivery skills and the ability to take ownership rather than simply provide recommendations.
• A commercial mindset with an understanding of ROI, prioritisation and cost.
