Job summary

Sharon AI, Inc in Australia is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security team and implement, maintain, and operate security controls across the AI Factory platform, reporting to the CISO.

You will protect Sharon AI's systems, lead vulnerability management, detection and incident response. You'll work with the Security Architect, Engineering, Infrastructure and GRC teams, turning security architecture and standards into working controls as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• Strong networking and security fundamentals including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, TLS and zero trust.
• Hands-on security for on-prem and cloud environments, with IaC security practices.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and embedding security in CI/CD pipelines and containers.
• Scripting in Python or Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop security designs and solutions with the Security Architect.
• Implement and maintain security controls across environments, including firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM and network tooling.
• Lead vulnerability management activities and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate with SOC on detection tuning and reducing false positives.
• Lead security incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Operationalise security tooling and integrate with development pipelines.
• Embed security into the SDLC with threat modelling and secure CI/CD practices.
• Ensure security controls during platform build-out and capacity expansion.
• Lead penetration testing and red team coordination.
• Manage identity and access controls including MFA, SSO and zero trust.
• Contribute evidence to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance.
