Job summary

HCF Australia is seeking an AI Governance Specialist to strengthen governance, risk and controls across the AI lifecycle. You will work across technology, data and business teams to embed practical governance and assess emerging AI risks.

Bring experience in governance, risk management and information security controls, plus familiarity with responsible AI principles. This role offers an opportunity to advance HCF's Data and AI Governance capability with practical, implementable guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in AI governance, risk and controls.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and information security controls.
• Experience translating findings into practical recommendations.
• Familiarity with responsible AI principles (fairness, accountability, transparency).
• Ability to communicate complex AI and governance concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support AI Governance framework, policies, standards and guardrails.
• Conduct AI risk and control assessments; identify gaps and recommend treatments.
• Partner with technical and business teams to embed governance in AI delivery lifecycle.
• Provide guidance on AI/data risks, controls, governance and compliance requirements.
• Maintain AI Asset Register and monitor AI risks, controls and compliance.
• Establish technical guardrails for AI systems, including access controls and security assessments.
• Translate technical requirements into governance documentation and evidence.
• Develop AI governance guidance, training and awareness initiatives.
• Support AI/data quality monitoring and governance reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance processes with emerging tech and Generative AI.
