Job summary

RAA is establishing a dedicated Data & AI capability in Adelaide and seeks a Data Governance Lead to embed governance foundations across the organisation. You will shape policies, standards and stewardship to enable trusted data, responsible AI and confident decision-making, partnering with executives, IT and governance functions.

You will drive data ownership, data quality improvements and regulatory alignment while building a lasting governance community across business units.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing or embedding data governance within complex organisations.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality and information management practices.
• Experience building stewardship models and partnering with stakeholders to create accountability for data assets.
• Experience working with privacy, risk, legal, audit or cyber security functions to strengthen governance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and embed governance frameworks, policies, standards and stewardship practices.
• Lift data quality and create clear accountability across the organisation.
• Partner with business leaders and technology teams to enable trusted insights and responsible AI.
• Lead a community of data owners and stewards and drive adoption of governance practices.
