Job summary

Techwave is seeking an AI-enabled Business Analyst to bridge business and data teams, delivering BI, analytics, and AI-driven solutions across the organization in a contract role.

You will gather requirements, design dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, work with Azure Synapse and Databricks, and mentor junior analysts while participating in Agile ceremonies to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Technical or Business Analyst in BI, analytics or data environments.
• Expertise in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process mapping.
• Hands-on with Power BI or Tableau; strong SQL and data modelling.
• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure Synapse, Fabric, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Familiar with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted productivity; SDLC & Agile.
• Experience in UAT, change management, and user training.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, data teams, developers, and project managers.

• Deliver process mapping, impact assessments, and change management activities.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Employment Type: Contract (Initial 6-Month Contract with Rolling Extensions)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced AI-Enabled Business Analyst to support the delivery of Data, Analytics, BI, and AI-driven solutions across the organization. This role will bridge business and technical teams, translating business needs into scalable analytics solutions while leveraging modern AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Generative AI to improve delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, data teams, developers, and project managers.
• Support the design, development, testing, training, and implementation of BI and analytics solutions.
• Deliver process mapping, impact assessments, and change management activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years' experience as a Technical or Business Analyst within BI, Analytics, Data Warehouse, or Data-driven environments.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process mapping, and solution design.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Advanced SQL skills and understanding of data modelling and Data Warehouse concepts.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Fabric, Databricks, or AWS Redshift.
• Practical experience with GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and AI-assisted productivity tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in UAT, change management, user training, and solution adoption.

Preferred Experience:

• Data Governance, Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Integration.
• Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Exposure to Predictive Analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI use cases.
• Industry experience within Retail, Wholesale, FMCG, or Consumer Products.
