Job summary

HBF Health in Perth, WA, is seeking an Emerging Technology Developer to turn AI concepts into scalable, real-world software that improves member experiences and health outcomes. You will build, test and ship solutions, work with AI at the frontier, and collaborate with the AI Centre of Excellence and Change Engine squads to push concepts into reality.

Qualifications

• Requires a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3+ years in software development, ideally in healthcare, insurance or technology.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to frame ambiguous problems and design better workflows.
• Proficiency across .NET, databases, integration and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and AI, LLMs, generative and agentic AI.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and design thinking.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI-enabled solutions from concept to production, aligning with HBF's healthy-luture goals.
• Work with LLMs, generative AI, and integrations alongside .NET, AWS and MCP.
• Ensure ethical use, data privacy, and model performance within AI guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional testers, architects and business analysts to translate requirements into solutions.
• Share expertise to foster a culture of creativity, experimentation and learning.
