Job summary

CommBank is seeking a seasoned risk and compliance leader who is customer focused, pragmatic and outcomes-driven. As an early stage startup, you will influence senior stakeholders while hands-on delivering at pace, with a passion for embedding a positive risk culture and leveraging AI and automation.

You will develop and embed a fit-for-purpose risk and compliance framework, manage obligations, and collaborate with x15 Risk, Line 2 Risk, Financial Crimes Compliance and Legal.

Qualifications

• Deep obligations, compliance and risk management experience.
• End-to-end risk experience in banking, ideally payments.
• Regulatory expertise in standards and frameworks.
• Experience in controls automation and working across risk and technology teams.
• Willingness to move fast and dive into the detail.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and embedding a fit-for-purpose compliance and risk framework including obligations and risk profile.
• Proactively managing and identifying obligations and risks within risk appetite.
• Work with x15 Risk to ensure compliance through business development and change.
• Developing technology that supports automated compliance by design.
• Providing compliance guidance in day-to-day business operations.
• Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents and implement control improvements.
• Develop and maintain risk and compliance tools and CAP testing support.
• Manage all licensing, statutory and Group obligations and obligation matrix.
