Job summary

TRC Group is seeking a Business Process Analyst in Melbourne to drive continuous improvement across customer operations. The role focuses on simplifying processes, reducing manual work and leveraging AI, automation and technology to deliver measurable benefits.

You will work with frontline teams to understand challenges, design practical solutions and implement changes with a customer-centric mindset. Autonomy and stakeholder influence are key success factors.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement, Operational Excellence or similar.
Strong process mapping and root cause analysis capability.
Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies; formal qualifications are highly regarded.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data/metrics to identify problems and measure improvement.
Ability to lead strategic initiatives and deliver outcomes through influence rather than direct authority.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to drive change.
Customer-centric mindset with understanding of translating improvements to outcomes.
Commercial awareness and ability to assess business value of opportunities.
High curiosity and resourcefulness; able to work autonomously and challenge current ways of working.
Interest in AI, automation and emerging tech; experience with AI/RPA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Continuous Improvement initiatives from problem identification to implementation and benefits realisation.
Map and redesign customer journeys, processes and workflows.
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, handoffs, rework and manual activity.
Collaborate with frontline teams to understand challenges and develop practical solutions.
Use data, metrics and customer insights to identify improvement opportunities.
Apply structured CI methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma to drive change.
Assess value of activities and determine if they genuinely add customer/business value.
Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation and technology for efficiency and experience gains.
Work with AI and Automation teams to accelerate automation opportunities.
Establish and prioritise a pipeline of CI initiatives based on value and priority.
Support prioritisation of updates and larger strategic initiatives.
Facilitate workshops and root-cause analysis sessions; design solution forums.
Collaborate across Ops, Tech, QA, Training and Product to embed improvements.
Support change management, training alignment and adoption of new processes.
Develop and maintain process maps, playbooks and supporting materials.
Monitor adoption and identify further optimization opportunities.
Influence stakeholders and lead outcomes without direct authority.
