Job summary

Assurant seeks a Capability Partner to lead the Australia and NZ capability strategy from the Hawthorn East office. You will translate business priorities into a 12-month portfolio of initiatives that strengthen leadership, manager effectiveness, AI adoption and change capability.

You will partner with leaders and People Organisation to diagnose needs, design practical capability solutions, and localise global initiatives for AUS & NZ, ensuring measurable business impact and lasting behaviour

Qualifications

5-8 years' experience in capability, learning and development, leadership development, organisational development or a related field.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Learning & Development, Psychology, Education, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience developing capability strategies and translating business priorities into actionable capability roadmaps and annual plans.
Strong capability to partner with leaders and subject matter experts to diagnose business challenges and design targeted development solutions.
Demonstrated success delivering blended learning experiences, combining facilitation, coaching, peer learning, workplace application and digital learning approaches.
Experience measuring and evaluating capability initiatives, using data and insights to demonstrate impact and inform recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge thinking and provide evidence-based advice to senior leaders.
Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Diagnose capability challenges with leaders and shape strategic capability plans.
Design and deliver leadership and people manager development initiatives.
Drive AI and digital capability with responsible adoption and practical business outcomes.
Create blended learning experiences using facilitation, coaching and digital resources.
Facilitate high-impact workshops and leadership forums across AUS & NZ.
Establish success measures and evaluate learning effectiveness to deliver measurable outcomes.
Collaborate with Compliance to design and improve mandatory and regulatory learning programs.
